Role: Commercial Manager (Facade)

Salary: £80,000 + Package

Location: Wakefield

 

Commercial Manager required for a specliast Facade/Externals contractor based in Wakefield. 

Experience of working on facade packages essential, as well as leading a small commercial team.

1. Financial Management:

  • Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to the project manager and owner, ensuring transparency and accountability. 

  • Cost Estimation: Analyze project expenses, including variable and fixed costs, to assess project viability. 

  • Financial Forecasting: Predict project income and profitability, helping to secure funding and attract investors. 

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage project cash flow, ensuring timely payment and optimal financial performance. 

  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities. 

2. Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring favorable terms and prices. 

  • Contract Compliance: Ensure all parties adhere to the terms of the contract, enforcing penalties for non-compliance. 

  • Change Order Management: Manage and process change orders, ensuring accurate cost adjustments and timely revisions. 

  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve disputes related to contracts, aiming for amicable settlements. 

3. Procurement and Supplier Management:

  • Supplier Selection: Select and manage suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. 
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies, optimizing resource allocation and reducing costs. 
  • Tender Management: Manage the tendering process, ensuring fair and competitive bidding. 

4. Risk Management:

  • Financial Risk Assessment: Identify and assess financial risks associated with projects, developing mitigation strategies. 

  • Risk Mitigation: Iimplement measures to minimize financial risks, such as insurance and contingency plans. 

  • Claim Management: Handle claims and disputes, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing financial losses.
